The engine is a six cylinder Continental 0-300D producing 145HP. It came from Cessna equipped with a 35 Amp generator, mechanical regulator. During
restoration, this engine was completely rebuilt to factory new specifications!
In addition to the overhaul, we elected to upgrade the systems to include:
- Jasco 50 Amp Alternator
- Jasco Electronic Regulator
- SkyTec lightweight fly-starter (saving 25+lbs of weight!).
- Whelan Strobe
- Six New
Millennium cylinders - respected as the best available technology for the Continental engines.
The result is a smooth running engine surrounded by reliable components.
Since N5437T was delivered in 1964 without avionics - a real basic aircraft. See our revised Weight & Balance, which shows all the changes made, and still
saving 12 pounds in the process thanks to that lightweight starter! |
